Lockdown 1, 2, and 3,
279 fabric dolls each 40cm tall, 2020
This piece began as a project to fill time during the first COVID lockdown on March 23rd 2020. The aim was to make one doll per day. Old white cotton and linen sheets were used to make the dolls and as the project progressed sheets were sourced from within the community. Over a year later, there were 279 dolls - 256 white dolls for each day of lockdown in London and 23 red dolls for time spent in isolation whilst ill with COVID.
